The Ministry Council serves as the executive body of the Church. It is composed of the Pastor, Moderator, Vice-Moderator, Clerk, Treasurer and Board Chairpersons. The Chairperson of each Board is elected by the members of each Board and is a Covenant member of the Church. The Ministry Council meets monthly on the third Wednesday of the month and is open  to any member of the congregation. 

 

The Ministry Council’s Boards are the Worship, Finance, Education, and Stewardship/Development Board. The Worship Board is responsible for all regular and special worship services, including music, altar care, communion, ushers, liturgists, and greeters as required to carry out appropriate service. The Finance Board is responsible for the expenditures of the Church, has custody of the real and personal property of the Church, and for drawing up annual forecasts of needs with recommendations to the Council. The Education Board is responsible for the development and coordination of youth/adult education. It is also responsible, in cooperation with the Pastor, for the development and coordination of membership classes. The Stewardship/Development Board for education and promotion of all stewardship endeavors including our Annual Pledge Drive. Missions include OCWM, missions of the universal church and budgeted local missions. The Board also proposes and guides all fundraising programs of the Church and is responsible for all coffee hours and social functions of the Church.
